Can we get an upgrade on the hyperlink function?

If I want to add a hyperlink, all I can do is put the address in........ it would be much nicer to be able to make a clickable text. Like you can in Outlook or other online forums. On those, when you click the hyperlink button, it pops up a spot for the text and a spot for the actual link.

I know there is a way to code this but I can never remember exactly how.

    Better. Thanks!

But a lot of apps have a "double-box" popup that lets you put the link in one spot and then the text in another, in a one-step process. I'm a little surprised that this software doesn't have that feature, since it's pretty good in other ways.

Well, like Mick said: you can't always get what you want.

The benefits definitely outweigh the disadvantages, but that doesn't mean there aren't still disadvantages.

I'm afraid that changing how the hyperlink function works here is not going to happen. vBulletin offers it's own way of allowing you to create links, and there really aren't any pluses or minuses to either method, IMO, they're just different ways.

But while Spoiled's linked article explains the code method, there is an easier way.

    1) Type what you want to become a link - this will be the text people see

    This will be a link

    2) Highlight the text

    3) Click the Link button

    4) Populate the link details:

    5) Enjoy your new link: This will be a link
If you're having trouble logging in or any other tech support issues, or if you have a question about the software, please post them in the Visitor's Corner.
If you need to reach me about something more private, please contact me via private message.

Reaching out to me privately may not result in a quick response. Posting in the Visitor's Corner ensures other staff members will see your post as well and may be able to help you more quickly.

Also, as far as I know, none of the staff here are psychics, so if you are reporting an issue, and want help, then please take the time to be as detailed as possible. The more effort you put into describing the problem, the more we'll put into solving it.
