    Forum Software

It's disappointing that this forum uses SMH software. It's not very powerful, and once it is in full use, it will be difficult to impossible to switch. The copyright message at the bottom says 2011. I hope this is not a 2011 version of the software.

    SMF 2.0.10 was released April 2015, so it's not a 2011 version.

What forum software would you suggest?

vBulletin. Since it's commercial, it's fully supported, and it's powerful. I generally don't trust free software. There are enough people here willing to contribute to the cause that a vBulletin license WITH support can be purchased and maintained.

To be fair, I'll get used to it, but of the forums that seem to be the most awkward of the ones I frequent, SMH is overwhelmingly the software used on those sites.

Now get back to studying. The bar pass rate in our state DROPPED by 14% this year. A lot of people paid $150,000 to flunk the bar exam.

vBulletin is actually very nice. Their native mobile apps are pretty slick, too.

So how much would it cost?
    Done with your selfish ways,
And all the games you play,
I'm through with you and everything you say!
Mama always told me that I should play nice,
But she didn't know you when she gave me that advice.
    I'm through with you!
    You're one bridge I'd like to burn;
Scatter the ashes, smash the urn!
I'm through with you, la ti da (la ti da)!
I don't wanna be your just for fun,
Don't wanna be under your thumb.
All I wanna be is DONE! UGH!

I haven't priced it lately, but it should be less than $1000. The last time I priced it, it was less than $500, as I recall.

The forum software is SMF, not SMH.

And if you want to cough up half a grand, great. I LOVE vBulletin.
If you're having trouble logging in or any other tech support issues, or if you have a question about the software, please post them in the Visitor's Corner.
If you need to reach me about something more private, please contact me via private message.

Reaching out to me privately may not result in a quick response. Posting in the Visitor's Corner ensures other staff members will see your post as well and may be able to help you more quickly.

Also, as far as I know, none of the staff here are psychics, so if you are reporting an issue, and want help, then please take the time to be as detailed as possible. The more effort you put into describing the problem, the more we'll put into solving it.
